Tallow is a rendered form of been or mutton fat, typically used in cooking, candle making, soap making, and most importantly skincare! It is solid at room temperature and has been utilized for centuries due to its rich, buttery flavour in culinary applications and is most certainly praised for its healing and moisturizing properties in skincare products.
What's the difference between suet and trimming fat?
Trimming fat is all the trim fat from the cow and it is used to render for cooking or frying. It is a very healthy fat to consume and popular with those who live a carnivore diet lifestyle.
Suet fat is exclusively the hard fat found around the kidneys of the cow. It is rendered for the use of skincare and soap products. Suet tallow carries many nutrients, vitamins and can help improve overall skin health. Its particularly similar to our skins sebum (naturally produced oil barrier and moisturizer), saturated fats, vitamins, and can activate a cellular response in the human skin.

Why does the product vary in colour and texture?
Our final products can vary in colour and texture due to the natural properties of tallow.
What does it smell like?
Tallow is a natural product and with that comes a subtle natural fatty scent. If the tallow is rendered properly it should not have a strong beefy smell.
Do you use fragrance oils?
NEVER! All of our products are free from synthetics, fillers and additives. We scent our products exclusively with high-quality essential oils that are third party tested.
Where do you source your tallow?
We proudly source our tallow exclusively from small family owned cattle ranchers in Alberta and Saskatchewan. Our ranchers provide us with high quality grass fed & finished tallow from small operations that support regenerative farming.
We stand firm in less government and more freedom to choose, this includes where your skincare products originate from! NO Big AG, NO Big Beauty, NO more BS!
What's the render process and shelf life?
We personally pick up and render ALL of our suet tallow in house and we will continue this practice for as long as we can moving forward. It's important to us that we can provide you with products that truly come from cow to your skin.
We render our tallow low and slow and take it through a six times rendering process to ensure a pure and high-quality product.
Tallow is best used within 12 months of opening. Keep it in a cool room and stay away from direct sunlight.

Tracking info will be delivered via email as soon as your order has been processed and scanned for shipping. If you haven't received tracking info within 2 weeks of getting your order confirmation, contact us and we will look into it.
